Seems like they were cut by a professional (they all sound great) but the media and tracks must to have gotten mixed up here and there. So yeah, a few things I noticed about the vinyl versions of his albums. The sleeve has the tracks listed 1-20), but is actually at the end of side C.Īnd the same issue with "Curtain Call: The Hits" where "Without Me" is listed as being on side C, it's actually at the end of side B (on both the label and sleeve this time). The skit "Soap" is listed as being on side D (On the label. The next thing I noticed was on my copy of "The Slim Shady LP". It must have been an after thought, as most albums don't cross-fade tracks after the 18min mark. And it sorta means that there's two versions of "The Way I Am". It means that they had to have two cuts of the album produced so that they could make the vinyl.
The "Steve Burman" skit also ends cleanly with him saying "whatever" and the "What's the Difference" instrumental fading out. On the vinyl the track starts with the the record clicks only (which run for the exact length they do on the CD version, minus the "whatever").
On the CD version, the track "The Way I Am" starts with him saying "whatever" (cross-faded from "Steve Burman") with record clicks in the background. The cross-fade between "Steve Burman" and "The Way I Am" is missing because the tracks wouldn't fit onto one side. The first difference I noticed was on "The Marshall Mathers LP". Through collecting Em's discography over the years, I've noticed a few small differences and errors that only exist on the vinyls that I think some of you might find interesting.
